The work on environmental labeling since the beginning of the year and the testing with the display of environmental characteristics of our product organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development enables us to tell the following values:
100g smoked trout Landvika consumption:
Global warming: 900 g CO2eq
Water footprint: 2.47 liters of water eq
Biodiversity footprint: 0.75 m² of urban for 1 year
These values will be printed on the packaging of our smoked trout Landvika 6 slices and 8 slices from October 2011

Aqualande participates in testing the display of environmental characteristics of products organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development.

By December 2010, Aqualande chose to respond to the Ministry’s call for candidates, and Aqualande participates in a large action organized by the Chamber of Commerce and the Regional Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives of Aquitaine.
We conduct the study on our main product: trout smoked on beech wood, 6 slices 150g. We carry out an analysis of the life cycle of the product, from the birth of the trout to the finished ready to eat product. The study is done in accordance with the ISO 14040 standards and the standards for displaying environmental data (BP X 30-323 standard).
The data for calculating the impact of the products were collected and verified by experts from a consulting firm specializing in analysis of life cycle: QUANTIS (http://www.quantis-intl.com/fr/index . php).
The work of editing was done with support from the consulting firm HOP3 (http://www.hop-cube).

| ORGANIC TROUT |

The year of 2009 will be the year when a part of the Aqualande trout farming will turn organic.
Demands for organic trout and trout roe are increasing, and Aqualande will launch in 2009 its first organic cold smoked trout products.
The products are certified AB (Agriculture Biologique).
Aqualande will focus on these products during the European Seafood show in Brussels in April 2009

The global demands for salmon and trout roe have increased during the last years, and Aqualande has launched a new special trout roe packaging which complies with the highest quality standards for salted frozen trout Ikura.
The product is packed in a 500g plastic tray
Salt content is 3% and the product is totally free from any kind of additives.
