The year of 2009 will be the year when a part of the Aqualande trout farming will turn organic. Demands for organic trout and trout roe are increasing, and Aqualande will launch in 2009 its first organic cold smoked trout products. The products are certified AB (Agriculture Biologique). Aqualande will focus on these products during the European Seafood show in Brussels in April 2009

Aqualande has obtained the IFS V5 Superior Level certification, a new strict set of quality specifications and standards for the production of the cold smoked trout in the new Aqualande factory

The global demands for salmon and trout roe have increased during the last years, and Aqualande has launched a new special trout roe packaging which complies with the highest quality standards for salted frozen trout Ikura. The product is packed in a 500g plastic tray Salt content is 3% and the product is totally free from any kind of additives.

Aqualande will launch in July 2007 the first certified “Label Rouge” smoked trout on the market. Forward to this has been 4 years of intensive work to establish the specification sheet for the “Label Rouge” certification and to put into practice the strict standards for farming and production of the “Label Rouge” trout. The “Label Rouge” smoked trout will be launched in the Landvika Brand in two different packagings: 2 slices – 60g & 4 slices – 120g
